Shirley (Catherine) Raso of Jupiter Island, FL. and formerly of Upper Nyack, NY, peacefully passed into the arms of her loving God on June 6, 2024. Born in Nyack, NY on August 1,1927 to Margaret & William Parsells. Shirley attended Nyack High School, where at the age of 15 she met the love of her life, Dominick (Honey) Raso. They were married on June 4,1950 at St. Ann’s Church in Nyack, NY. They were devoted partners in everything they did for 57 blessed years until Dominicks passing in 2007. Shirley not only devoted her life to her family and friends, but also to her church and community. She, being a devout Catholic, had a strong faith and devotion to the Rosary and Blessed Mother Mary. She lived her faith by giving back to her community. Whether it be a new chapel for the church; building the Dominick F. & Shirley C. Raso Education Center at Jupiter Medical Center or along with her deceased sister and brotherin-law (Joe & Cay Raso) establishing the Raso Pediatric Diagnostic Center at Nyack Hospital. Shirley is survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Monsignor Dan Dillabough of San Diego,CA. and her dedicated and devoted caregivers; nephew Frank Raso (Susie), Dr. Mark Corry, Pearl Dillard, Ida Thomas, Saletta Canidate and Judy Canidate. She is also predeceased by her loving and dear friend, Sister Maureen - Therese McGroddy, R.S.H.M. A mass of Christian burial, Celebrated by Msgr. It is with great sadness the family announce the unexpected passing of Marc Wade Rocca on Monday December 19, 2022 at his residence. Born in Canandaigua, New York in 1964, Marc was a son of Saverio G. and Jacqueline R. (Ogden) Rocca Marc was an excellent carpenter, known for his meticulous attention to detail and craftmanship. He was also a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan and an avid hunter. His best days were spent on his uncle’s farm in Georgia, with his children. Marc was always loyal to those who knew him closely and his infectious spirit will be greatly missed. Marc is survived by his parents, one step daughter; Kristie Wade , one brother; Sean (Maria) Rocca, one sister; Jennifer Rocca, both of Saint John, nine nieces and nephews; Massimo, Lucia, Sophia, Rosalie, Juliet, Nicodemus, Gianni, Gia, and Donte . Marc is predeceased by his two children; Angel Ann Rocca, and Joseph “Joey” Rocca. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B.. A visitation will be held on Friday December 23, 2022 from 11am to 12pm at Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X). Son-in-law of Rudy (predeceased) and Therese Moncion and brother-in-law to Suzanne (Denis), Rudy (Karen) and Helene (Danny). Marc was a devoted and proud family man as well as a dedicated business man. He enjoyed snowmobiling, mud bogging, boating and good times at camp with family and friends.
